COVID-19 Update

Due to the recent changes in the COVID19 exposure measures ordered by Gov. Wolf on Thursday, we will be making some changes in our office. Although Gov. Wolf’s order allows “Outpatient ambulatory healthcare centers” to remain open.  With consideration of the safety of our staff and patients, we ask all to follow the CDC recommendationt to stay home if:

  • You traveled overseas or have been in contact with anyone who has travelled overseas in the pat 14 days.
  • If you have a cold, cough, or fever.  If you have trouble breathing, please call your primary care physician.
  • If you have been in contact with anyone who has tested postive with COVID19.

We feel physical therapy is important for all our patients, so we are offering Telehealth PT and will be very creative in treating you over the phone or via video chat. This will reduce exposure risk and you can still consult with the therapist, review exercises, check your status and progress function and status. There is current research that demonstrates that Telehealth PT is effective. Medicare has recently approved E-visits within a 7 day period.  Commercial insurances are looking at approval for E-visits and we are watching this closely. Recent information has stated that workman’s compensations cases are approving Telehealth PT, but we suggest you discuss this with your case manager.  We can set up an easy to use videochat for you.  Rates/billing are the following:

  • 5-10 min- $20
  • 10-20 min $40
  • 20+ minutes $60

Medicare and insurances my have different contracted rates. If your insurance does not cover E-visits, we will ask for a credit card to charge prior to the first session and that card will be charged for any subsequent sessions.

New patients can have a consultation/evaluation for $100.  Follow up visits will then be at the rates listed above.

We thank everyone for your understanding and cooperation and hope this pandemic can be controlled soon. We wish everyone safety and health. Please feel free to call our office if you have any questions or are requesting a Telehealth PT session.
