COVID 19 Update – Telehealth now available
Thank you to all of our patients and their families/ support people for being conscientious about practicing all the precautions regarding COVID 19 and for being so flexible and gracious during this stressful and ever-changing time in healthcare delivery. These times are unprecedented, and it is a changing environment as this pandemic continues. We hope we can all stay healthy and keep the COVID 19 spread to a slow minimum.
Our office currently remains open and our staff is continuing to follow all recommendations of sanitization, hand cleansing, covering coughs, not touching the face, and not coming to work if we are sick. We ask all of patients to also continue to follow these recommendations. In addition to this, we have limited the number of patients we are seeing, we are checking temperatures, requiring face masks of all people entering the office. We ask that no additional family or drivers (nonpatients) come into the office and that patients arrive at their scheduled time. We are limiting which patients are seen in the office versus utilizing Telehealth Physical Therapy, by assessing the health risk versus the functional benefit of current and new patients. If you have any questions assessing your risk vs. benefit, please call our office and discuss this with your physical therapist. We have never had cancellation fees and surely understand if you chose not to attend PT due to concern of COVID 19 exposure.
We want to continue to help our patients whom it is not safe to treat in the office or who chose not to come into the office, so we are now offering Telehealth PT. Most insurances are now paying for some Telehealth PT visits. Please call our office to verify coverage. You may also call our office to confirm your coverage. We understand that the hands-on (manual) work that we do is very beneficial, but there is a good amount of education and self-care that you may benefit from through Telehealth PT. We can also screen for serious conditions that may require a consult form another healthcare professional. Telehealth PT can be via a phone call or a video chat to assist in our assessment and instruction. We have Zoom Healthcare and other options for communication for Telehealth PT and we are sure we can provide an easy and efficient means of providing this service.
